Discovery of electric bulb and electricity and part the pictures of inventors with their names
Answers
Much later, in the year 1860 an English physicist Sir Joseph Wilsom Swan was determined to derive a practical long lasting electric bulb.
In the year 1877, the American Charles Francis Brush manufactured some carbon arcs to light a public square in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
The inventor Thomas Alva Edison, experimented with thousands of different filaments to find the right material to glow well and be long-lasting. In 1879, Edison discovered that a carbon filament in an oxygen-free bulb glowed but did not burn up for 40 hours.
In 1903, Willis. R. Whitney invented a treatment for the filament so that it would darken the inside of the bulb as it glowed. In 1910, William David Coolidge invented the tungsten filament which lasted even longer than the older filaments.
The incandescent bulb revolutionised the whole world.

Its invention is credited to ThomasAlva Edison, an American inventor and businessman, who created it in 1879. The designof his light bulb was a carbonized filament inside a glass bulb with a screw base. It glowed when an electric current pass through it, possessed high electrical resistance, and lasted a lot longer than previous sources of light had.
