In 1897,J.J Thomson a British physicists proposed that atom atom contains at least one negatively charged particle.Later this particle was named as electron. Thomson called those particles 'corpuscles'.

Electrons are first discovered by 'J.J. Thomson in 1897' . He discovered electrons when he was studying on cathode Ray's.

He took a glass tube and partially air where much of air is pump out and them he was electric current between two electrodes. He found that stream is coming out from cathode.
