Nervous tissue is a animal tissue type of tissue found in which is responsible for the formation and proper functioning of the nervous system of an animal. It is made up of nerve cells or neurons. The neurons are the longest cells in the world and can stretch up to 1 metre. The nerve cells are attached to each other and form a chain like structure. This chain works as a messenger and transports messages from our body organs to the mastermind- the brain and vice versa that makes us do our work in the swift and agile manner that we do today.
