My grandmother is quite an old lady. She has already crossed sixty. Her years have now bent her back a little but have not affected her activities. She is tall and thin. She is grey-haired and her humble and affectionate face is full of wrinkles.

I love her so much and she also loves me a lot. Her eye-sight, however, is quite good and she can read without spectacles. She is a religious lady and she is devoted to religion. Her devotion to God and religion never disturb the rest of the family. She is the first to leave the bed in the morning. Before we get up, she has already taken the bath with fresh water. Immediately after the bath, she goes to the nearby temple. We eagerly wait for her to come back, for she brings sweets for us.

Even at this age, she is very active and hard working. At times, we are surprised at her agility. She is the head of my family after my grandfather, she supervises all important jobs in the family. Some works she does herself. My parents seek her advice in all matters. She likes to see the religious films. She is always seen praying to god.

At night she tells me stories. She also asks me to pay attention to my studies. She loves me very much. I love her very much and may she live long and make my life comfortable. She has taken care for me since I was a newborn baby. She has brought me up very well. She has taught me so many good things in life, she has changed my world by making me a good human being. Two months ago I have completed my graduation with top grades and today I am placed in a well renowned multinational company. I gave the credit of my success to my grandmother because when I was a kid my mom and dad both were very busy in their respective jobs and she took pains to make me study well to get good marks.

She always took care for me at home and makes me eat healthy food so that I can stay healthy and attend my school regularly. Whenever I was having the negative thoughts about my parents that they never give me time as other parents do, she made me understand that they love me but fail to devote their time to me due to their jobs and busy schedule. When I had fights with my best friend she took efforts to solve the quarrels and make us patch it up. Whenever I was in trouble or face any problem she was always there to give a solution of that problem.

She made me confident to face life failures with grace, she always taught me to believe in myself no matter what happens. She taught me to be brave in any situation. If she would not be in my life to show the right path, my life would be incomplete without her. Maybe today I have achieved so much success in my life. She was more than a best friend to me. I have learned a lot in life through her eyes and through her experiences. She has taught me the value of money and value of true relationships. She said me to also face failures with great high like I celebrated my success.
