Crystallization is the process by which we can obtain crystals of copper sulphate. In this process, a few drops of dilute sulphuric acid is added to water. The water is then boiled & as it starts boiling, copper sulphate powder is added with stirring. The powder must be added on till the solution becomes saturated.

Crystals of copper sulphate are prepared as follows:

1 Take a beaker filled with water and add a few drops of dilute sulphuric acid.

2 Heat the water. When it starts boiling, add copper sulphate powder slowly.

3 During this process stir continuously.

4 Continue adding copper sulphate powder till no more powder can be dissolved.

5 Filter the solution.

6 Leave it for cooling.

7 Slowly, the copper crystals will separate out.
