The organs of the alimentary canal are the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine.

Alimentary Canal is a part of Digestive system. Alimentary canal is a tube starting from mouth , running upto anus. While Digestive system is combination of Alimentary canal and Digestive Glands.

The walls of the alimentary canal have the same four basic layers, (also known as tunics) — the mucosa, submucosa, musclaris externa, and serosa. Each layer contains a certain tissue type that plays a crucial role in the breakdown of food.
