Discribe the following chemical reactions giving their balanced equation:

Chlorine gas is passed through slaked lime.​

When Chlorine gas is passed through dry slaked lime ,it is rapidly absorbed,forming bleaching powder or chloride of Lime. The reaction is: Ca(OH)2+Cl=CaOCl2+H2O. Also water is formed with bleaching powder.
