The Indian panchayat has three levels,

▶The root(lowest) level is Gram panchayat.

▶The middle level is Block Samiti or Panchayat Samiti.

▶The next level is Zilla Parishad.

✴The Gram panchayat is of village level,The Block Samiti is of Block level and the Zila parishad is of district level.

▶The head of Gram panchayat is Sarpanch.

▶The head of Block Samiti is Chairman.

▶The head of Zila Parishad is a President and Vice President.
