According to Thomson's Atomic Model :

(1) Atom is a sphere having a uniform positive charge in which electrons are embedded.

(2) This model is referred as Plum-pudding model.

(3) Total positive charge is equal to total negative charge of electrons in the atom.

Thus, it is electrically neutral.

(4) The positive charge cannot come out and only the negatively charged electrons can be emitted.
