Discriptive essay on how did you celebrate your diwali

For the first 23 years of my life, it was always a ghar wali Diwali for us. But after we started our careers, me and my brother have not been able to make it to home together for even one Diwali. It's either him or me every year for various reasons. This year its me at home while he's posted at the borders in Pokhran, Rajasthan.

I remember my brother quitting crackers 8–9 years back, and following him, very next year I quit them too for one simple reason : waste of money. Since then it has always been a No-crackers-wali-Diwali.

This year, I wanted to do something different for Diwali.

After having done the lighting work at home I went out for a walk today around 8 PM and saw a paani-puri vendor who has been selling paani puri at the same spot (outside a shopping complex) from last 7–8 years. I went to his stall and the conversation went on like following:

Me: Kaise ho bhaiya? Pehchane? ( Trans: How are you? Did you recognize me?)

He: Pechanenge kaise nahi….pehle aksar college ke baad aaya karte thhe aap (Trans: why wouldn't I? You often used to come after college)

Me: waah pehchan gaye! Kaam kaisa chal raha hai? (Trans: oh! You recognized…. how are the sales?)
