as we know  that the poem "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysse Shelley was reputedly written about the Egyptian King Rameses 11 - Ozymandias was his Greek name. He was an Egyptian pharaoh from 1279-1213 b.c.e. and was famous for his statesmanship, architecture, military leadership, administrative abilities, and building activity.

Ozymandias' was first printed in The Examiner on 11 January 1818; Smith's sonnet, also entitled 'Ozymandias' was published in the same newspaper on 1 February. Shelley's poem was the last of the 'other poems' he included in Rosalind and Helen, published in 1819.The meaning or themes of Percy Bysshe Shelley's poem “Ozymandias” are pretty straightforward and are also highly traditional. infact, the poem reminds powerful people that their power is only temporary. However much powerful people may wish to think that their power is immortal, they are only deceiving themselves.
