▶Medulla oblongata is the most important part of brain. It is connected to the spinal cord.

▶It directly control ANS (autonomic neural system) i.e. involuntary functions.

1. RESPIRATION

2. CARDIOVASCULAR REFLEXES

3. GASTRIC SECRETION

4. SWALLOWING

5. VOMITING

6.COUGHING

7. SNEEZING

8.DIGESTION

9.BLOOD PRESSURE

✴️Heya.... Rittika.....✴️
====================

☛Here is your answer sis :--
========================

☑️Human brain :--
================
It is the vital and central Organ of human nervous system, which regulates all the physical and chemical life processes inside our body.
◼️Parts of Human Brain :--
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are major three parts of brain :-
1.) Forebrain
2.) Midbrain
3.) Hindbrain
These all are performing their respective functions. They all have different-different parts.
But our question is about Medulla Oblongata.
☑️There are three parts in which hindbrain is divided into :---
a.) Medulla Oblongata
b.) Pons
c.) Cerebellum
☛Now, let's move to our que.
============================
◼️Medulla Oblongata :--
=======================
It is the first main part of hindbrain and perform a lots of vital and necessary functions inside our body.
◼️Location :---
============
It is located at the top of the stem brain, anterior and partially inner side just front of Cerebellum.
◼️Shape :--
===========
It is of cone-shaped. You can see in the above pic. It regulates the automatic functions which are occuring inside our body such as Heart beat, respiration etc....
☑️Functions :---
================
"IT IS RELAY AND CENTRE AND PERFORMS MANY VITAL FUNCTIONS."
◼️1.) RESPIRATORY CENTRE :---
===========================
a.) It regulates the rate of respiration.
b.) Depth and rhythm of respiration.
c.) It is very sensitive to decreased oxygen (O2) and increased carbon dioxide (CO2).
d.) It regulates the pH of our body.
◼️2.) CARDIAC CENTRE :---
========================
a.) It is the center of regulation of heart cycle rate.
b.) It regulates the heart beats.
◼️3.) REFLEX ACTION CENTRE :---
===============================
It regulates all the reflex-actions which are occuring inside the body.
Such as :--
Vomiting, coughing, sneezing, swallowing, hiccuping, digestion and so on....
◼️4.) VASOMOTOR CENTRE :---
============================
It regulates the contractions and relaxation of the blood vessels.
So that the blood-pressure may be controlled.
Hope it will help you!
Thanks!!☺️
