Discuss about the human life in equatorial region

At the equatorial region there are often downpours which actually lead to leaching of soil nutrients.This one leads to rapid leaching of soil nutrients hence leaving the soil infertile ,as well the whole topmost part of the soil can be eroded having it in mind that the topmost part of the soil is the most fertile .As a result people leaving in this areas have often embarked on shifting cultivation whereby they move from the place that has lost fertility to the place where the nutrients are eroded to thus clearing the forest.
