It takes place even in unfavourable climatic conditions

The offspring are genetically similar.

It is faster than sexual reproduction.

More number of offspring can be produced.

1)  The parts of the plant i.e.the roots,stems etc..can be alone used for growing into separate plants/induviduals. eg: Sugarcane,Rose,Grapes etc....
2) This method is more cheaper ,easier and also more rapid than growing from seed which take a long time.
3) The plants produced are more genetically similar to their parents 
4) Plants produced by this method don't have to go through the seedling stage in which most of the plants die due to various physical factors...
