Aurangzeb's Deccan Policy refers to the extended period of conflict and diplomacy between the Mughals and the states of Bijapur, Golconda and the Maratha Swarashtra under Shivaji and his successors . His Deccan policy was to conquer the powerful Deccan under the Marathas .
