The Original Jurisdiction

of the Supreme Court allows it to settle disputes between two states between group of states between govt of India and a state.

the Supreme Court also has the power to transfer cases from one court to another it can withdraw pending cases or dispose them if it feels that they are similar or identical to each other.

Appellate Jurisdiction

the appellate has the three parts and the Supreme Court can hear the appeals under the following categories.

a) Civil cases

the Supreme Court can hear appeals in cases that involves the law that are important to all the citizen of the country or if the high court asks the Supreme Court to decide on a particular case
