Answer:

Characteristics of a system:

Organization:

It implies structure and order. It is the arrangement of components that helps to achieve objectives.

Interaction:

It refers to the manner in which each component functions with other components of the system.

Interdependence:

It means that parts of the organization or computer system depend on one another. They are coordinated and linked together according to a plan. One subsystem depends on the output of another subsystem for proper functioning.

Integration: It refers to the holism of systems. It is concerned with how a system is tied together.

Central Objective:

A system should have a central objective. Objectives may be real or stated. Although a stated objective may be the real objective, it is not uncommon for an organization to state one objective and operate to achieve another. The important point is that users must know the central objective of a computer application early in the analysis for a successful design and conversion.

The characteristics of the system are

1. Basic components

2. Interaction and structure

3. Goal

4. Behavior

5. Life cycle

Explanation:

  • Basic Component: In accordance with the definition of the system, the functioning devices implies the basic elements of the system which are interrelated, which are the basic components of the system.
  • Interaction & Structure: The basic components should interact with one another is an essential aspect  of the system. It is not just an element grouping/collection.  If you consider an organisation to be a system, the procurement deptshould interact with shops, the manufacturing and PPC etc. They are mutually interdependent, too. If we consider, the "computer as a system" will be processed by arithmetic or logic unit and both if "some information" is entered and the final result will be displayed on the display. This interrelationship "activity of the components" makes the system dynamic. Such a relationship amongst the components describe the system & its environment.
  • Goal: We must first understand the meaning of  to accomplish the objective of the system. Central goal II. Integration III. Effect synergistic
  1. Central Goal: Central objective implies the common objective, because this will move in all directions without a common system. This will lead to a loss of coordination between all parts (Components).
  2. Integration: All the components work together to achieve the objective of the system. All the system parts should be coordinated and the system must operate as a whole to accomplish such coordination by integrating all of its activities to obtain the desired result.
  3. Synergestic Effect: It is obvious from the integration concept which the system must not only be regarded as the sum of the parts but also as the whole one. This integration is known as a synergistic effect.
  • Behaviour:  Behaviour is the reaction of the system to its surroundings. Comportability is determined by procedures to ensure components are complied with in ways that enable the system to accomplish a common aim. For example, the nervous system makes our body instantly withdraw from the heat source if we touch an object that is warm. Thus, heat is a source of environmental effect & reaction is the nervous system 's behaviour & instruction (how to respond) is the procedure. This procedure defines  what should be done, & what is really done defines the behavior.
  • Life Cycle: Every system has its life cycle & it is the birth of evolution, life, old age, repairs and, ultimately, the end of life (death) in human life. Then we can eventually set the system like this.
