(i) Some of the insects that are haploid in nature undergoing cell division are : wasps, honey bees and ants. In lower plants, like in Chlamydomonas, Volvox, Spirogyra, etc, the mitotic type of division of cell occurs when the gametophyte is formed from the haploid kind of spores.
