The system of estates in France was organised in the following way:- The French society was divided into 3 estates:- 1. FIRST ESTATE- The first estate consisted of clergy.They enjoyed most of the priveleges and did not have to pay taxes. 2.SECOND ESTATE- The second estate condsisited of the nobility .They also enjoyed most of the privileges. 3.THIRD ESTSTE- The third estste consisited of the peasants,small shopkeepers, landlordscourt ,officials ,labourers,artisans,landless labourers, lawyers,servants,merchants etc
