a = G M / R^2       acceleration of gravity at distance R from center of earth

M = 4/3 d pi R^3     where d is density of earth

a = 4/3 pi G d R

So inside the earth the acceleration of gravity is proportional to the distance from the center of the earth and decreases at increasing depth
