A synthetic fibre is also a chain of small units joined together each small unit is actually a chemical substance many such small units combine to form a large single unit called a polymer such a fibre was obtained a chemical treatment of wood pulp which fibre was called artificial silk . The synthetic fibre on these are called synthetic or man made fibre that's why these are called synthetic or manmade fibre

Advantages :-

1)It is from natural resource.

2)It does not catch fire easily.

3)Natural fibres are renewable.

4)lower pollution levels during production.

5)lower cost.

Disadvantages:-

1)Absorbs a lot of moisture resulting in swelling of fibers.

2)They have less strength particularly the impact properties.

3)These fibers shrink.

4)They fade faster loosing color.

5)These fibers absorb a lot of water.
