Answer:

Marketing is a vital procedure that most producers these days undertake before starting to manufacture products. Marketing makes a study of what a customer would prefer by way of quality, price, type of packaging, etc. Marketing also keeps in mind competing products and their features. This information is passed on to the manufacturer who produces goods as per the study. Marketing also includes advertising, which creates awareness in the market about products and thereby creates a demand for them. Once a product is ready, it has to be moved to the markets. If the products are to be locally consumed, there is no problem. But if they have to be moved to distant places transport has to be arranged either by rail, road, air or sea, depending on the nature of the product. Perishables like meat, milk, etc., need to be refrigerated before transporting. Proper storage is another important necessity of modern markets, where goods produced in bulk are stored before they reach the customer.
