Acid rain:

Acid rain forms when oxides of nitrogen, sulphur dioxide etc. get mixed with the air and react to form acids. which is precipitated as acid rain. Majorly, it is caused by automobiles, factories etc.

Effects:

  • Acid rain can harm the aquatic life by reaching water bodies through soil
  • Acid rain can harm buildings by reacting with the materials that are used in the structure.
  • Acid rain can affect the plants also it can remove nutrients from the soil which plants need
