Helen used to touch and feel along the hard boxwood hedges. She would find the first violets and lillies by their smell. Whenever she grew upset, she went there to find comfort. She hid her hot face in the cool leaves and grass. She enjoyed wandering one place to another upto a beautiful vine, clematis, jessamine and butter lillies. She found roses the loveliest of all. She found peace, satisfaction and enjoyment in the company of vines and flowers. They were like "asphodels of god's garden" for her
