The methods which need to be adopted for judicious use and saving of water is need base irrigation. This method increases the crop productivity and also helps us to save diesel and electricity which are used in running tubewells.
PAU(Punjab agriculture University) has developed a special instrument Tensiometer for this purpose.
Laser land leveler also helps us in saving water.
