It can be inferred from the story that Nitya was not at all the believer of God. He opposed the promise of their parents which they have made to God. He didn't want his hairs to be shaved off. He considered his looks much important than following the rituals and promises made to the god. He asked the barber only to cut some hair and not shave off all. He went out of the temple thereby disregarding the vows and rituals.

Answer:

It can be deduced from the fact that Nitya was not a believer in God at all. He challenged the promise their parents had made to God. She did not want her hair cut. He considered his appearance to be more important than the rituals and promises of the gods. He asked the barber to cut only the hair and not cut it all. She left the temple thus ignoring her vows and rituals.

Nitya does not believe in god.

He is a boy of modern and civilized thoughts and likes science.

He does not like to do religious rituals like shaving hairs before entering the temple and praying for long in front of god.

He thinks praying is waste of time and is not very good deed.

According to him god is not important part of life.
