By now, almost all the people of India have a broader idea about the Article-370 and Article -35A of Indian constitution after they have been scrapped by the central government through a Presidential order. Further, India has increased the number of union territories(UT) from 7 to 9 by bifurcating Jammu and Kashmir(J&K) state into UT of Jammu and Kashmir with legislative assembly and UT of Ladakh to be administered directly by the central government.
Much has been talked in favour of scrapping the articles of autonomy to the state of J&K and so also in the opposition of it. There have been several discussions and debates on the stability of the region but not much focus has been given to the geopolitics of the region which probably could have compelled the government to take such a decision.
