Depending on the state, the weather of North East India in Winter ranges from chilly to biting cold. Higher the altitude is, colder it is. For example, higher altitude states such as Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh experience sub-zero temperatures accompanied by icy landscapes and snow. Whereas, the lower altitude states such as Mizoram and Tripura experience pleasant temperatures with mild winter.
