I) Pressure belts are seasonally identical horizontal pressure variations created in the earth's atmosphere just above the earth's surface due to seasonal and spatial variation of energy received by the earth at different places.

II) There are three prevailing wind belts in each hemisphere,

1. Tropical Easterlies: From 0-30 degrees latitude (Trade Winds).

2. Prevailing Westerlies: From 30-60 degrees latitude (Westerlies).

3. Polar Easterlies: From 60-90 degrees latitude.
