salt law was imposed by British government in 1882 .according to the collection of production of salt by anyone without the permission of colonial authorities was declared unlawful . what means Gandhi opposed this law because they are not it's our India they are not there to disturb us for any other reason so he started a campaign against the salt law on 12 March 1930 with his 78 followers from Sabarmati Ashram to the village Dandi in Gujarat after reaching Nandi on 6th April 1931 full of salt and broke the salt law after making salted than the Mahatma Gandhi went to the Southern coast and produce the salt there is staged Satyagraha at the Darshana salt works 25 miles south of Dandi.
