●Agriculture was their main occupation. The fertile Nile vallet and an imporved irrigation system enabled them to grow a wide variety of crops all throughout the year.They used a wooden hoe for ploughing . Wheat, Barley , Onions , Peas , Cotton , fruits and vegetables were the chief crops grown.

●They also practiced fishing , poultry , carpentry , masonry work and weaving.

●Domestication of animals such as cows , sheep , goard and pigs were also practised..
