Constitution of India is the lengthiest written constitution in the world. It is federal in structure as well as it is unitary in spirit. Some features of constitution of India are:
1. Written and Lengthiest Constitution

The Indian constitution is a written one and is available in the form of book unlike the England Constitution which is unwritten. It consists of the good points of various constitutions around the globe.

2. Federal in Structure and Unitary in Spirit

The powers are divided between the star government and the central government. More powers are granted to the central government.

3. Single Citizenship

4. Parliamentary form of government

5. Independent Judiciary

the features of the Constitution of India as follow :

1.all Indians are equal before law. all have the same rights and duties, no person will be discriminated on the ground of cast, class ,religion and gender.

2.some seats are reserved in legislative and government jobs are disadvantages sections.

3.All Indians above the age of 21 can vote in the elections( but now 18).

4.the constitution divided powers between the central government and the state government as subjects in union list were to be looked after solely by the central government the subjects in the state list what to be looked after solli by the state governments the subjects in the concurrent list were to be joint responsibility of both the centre and state government.
