We need to work on many fronts
1. Developing physical infrastructure of roads, rail and airports
2. Reducing bureaucracy and improving business environment by
Easing labour laws
Ability to enforce contracts
Speeding approvals, reducing the need for approvals
Improving the regulatory environment, end crony capitalism by selling our resources like spectrum and coal for a steal.
E governance and reducing rent seeking activities within the government.
Implement Goods & Services Tax to replace state level VAT/Sales tax etc. , we should operate as one market India instead of as each state doing its own thing.
Government stop running non essential services like Air India and BSNL.
Target that we rank in the top 30 most competitive countries, we are no. 71 now.
3. Free up agriculture,that is one area where there have been no real reforms.
4. Improve our justice system, once people are afraid of the law, a lot more economic freedom is accrued. It will reduce corruption and protect customers and the general public.
5. Massive investment in primary education, need skills and education if we are to move our youth from agriculture to industry
