spores are small, sperical, thick walled cells produced by fungi mosses and ferns for the purpose of reproduction. they are covered with hard protective coat to withstand adverse climatic conditions such as high temperatures and low humidity. they are produced in large numbers. they are freely floating in the air and thus are carried to distant places by wind currents. when proper nourishment and climatic conditions happen then they germinate and develop into mature organisms .
