Wind energy is a renewable energy. To obtain the wind energy we use the kinetic energy of the wind to generate mechanical power and the generator is used to convert this power into electricity.

The advantage and disadvantage of wind power stations are:
Wind energy is free of cost and its never ending so its ecnomical plus maintenance cost is low. Moreover it is environment friendly plus turbines are easily placable.
However, the disadvantages are the high initial cost plus immaturity of technology. Some of the turbine make noises which can bs unplesent sometimes.

Coal-fired power stations are based on fossil fuel. Fossil fuel is a non renewable energy. Some of its advantages and disadvantages are:
Most of the countries have large reserves of coal and it tends to provide sufficient and efficient energy.Coal brings low capital investments which puts less burden on the countries economy.Coal is a source which can be converted into different forms.
However, there are some disadvantages like it's not environment friendly and it contains a large amount of carbon dioxide content. The radiation emitted can cause cancer as well.
