Discuss the audience’s first impression of Portia in Act I, scene i, and what is further revealed about her in Act I, scene ii, and Act II scene i which makes her character so remarkable.

In first act scene 1 Portia is showed to be a very beautiful and reliable girl and she has a beautiful hair rest on her temples of golden colour and in act 1 scene 2 she is shown to be helpless lady who is not given any right to choose her husband but her father’s will is the only way to choose her husband and it is shown she nor loves and neither likes any guy but likes Bassanio young boy and in act 2 scene 2 it is shown she is nice lady who don’t choose her husband with his attractiveness and beauty but by his qualities
