Hey,

Owls have unusually large eyes, which suggests deep insight. They are capable of seeing in conditions so dark that other creatures cannot see, which suggests unusual powers of discernment.

There is apparently an archetype which associates insight and discernment with wisdom or intelligence. To me, these all appear to be different things, but I can see why such an association would be made.

I think perhaps—most importantly—an owl is capable of effectively solving the problem of catching prey in conditions that others would not be able, and this definitely points to wisdom to my way of thinking…

…for wisdom is essentially the capacity to effectively solve problems.
