Business which provide jobs and exchange capital are more concentrated in urban areas as the ports or banking systems are commonly located in cities that bring foreign money flows into a country. Farm living is also vulnerable to unpredictable environmental conditions, and in times of drought, floods, survival may become problematic. Hence, there are strong push and pull factors in rural to urban migration.
