HEYA!!!!
DEMOCRACY : The system of ruling where people rule is exists in a country is called as Democracy.
☆ As, India is the largest democratic country in the world. This follow a good democracy.
CHALLENGES FACING BY INDIAN DEMOCRACY :
☆ The main pillar of democracy is election. Where the people elect their representatives. But nowadays those elections are corrupted. Many leaders are malpracticed ones. This is the main drawback of indian democracy.
☆ The second major challenge that Indian democracy is facing is the poverty in India. As, India is rich but the people in India are not rich. Due to the wrong political system the poverty in Indians is not reducing.
☆ The third one is Illeteracy in India. As, per 2011 census the literacy rate of India was 74.04 means nearly 50- 60 crore people are illiterate. This is also a major challenge to Indian democracy.
☆ Another challenge is Social inequality. As, India is secular, socialist, democratic and Republic country there is no equality among some castes in India. This could be a reason for non unity of india.
☆ The violence or crime rate is also a challenge for Indain democracy because , as we hear many news that some rapes, murders etc.. This should be reduced...
Finally I conclude that India is a largest Democratic country it should be ready face each and every challenge and move forward...

Hola Friend ✋✋✋
Democracy faces three main challenges :
1) First what is the foundational challenge.
♦Many countries in the world still not under democratic government. These countries faces foundational challenge of making the transition of democracy and then instituting democratic government.
♦ This involves bringing down the existing non-democratic regime, keeping military away from the control Government and establishing a functioning state.
2) Second one is the challenge of expansion.
India is an established democracy and we also face challenge of expansion.
♦This challenges are applying the basic principle of democratic government across the regions, different social groups and various Institution.
♦ Ensuring great power to local government extension of Federal Principle to all the unit of the Federation, inclusion of women and minority groups fall under this challenge.
3) Third challenge is of deepening of democracy.
This is faced by every democracy in one form or the other.
♦ this includes strengthening of Institution and practices of democracy , and make a people understand about the expectation on democracies ( because some ordinary people have different expectation from democracy in different societies).
This challenge usually means strengthening those institution that help people participation and control.
Hope it helps
