A political party is a group of people in to control the government and carry of the general policies on the basis of the number of parties in the political system that can be uni- party system two- party system or multi- party system in a country

•in uni-party system there is only one party in the political system there is no competition in the system and people have no choices in the elections hear the people are not allowed to go against the government and form their own new parties

•in the two party system there are two major parties in the system that can be smaller part is also but they have little or no influence in the political sphere

•the multi party system there are three or more parties in the political system every party is strong to win the elections and form the government sometimes no party gets clear majority then several parties join together to form the government

A party system is a concept in comparative political science concerning the system of government by political parties in a democratic country. The idea is that political parties have basic similarities: they control the government, have a stable base of mass popular support, and create internal mechanisms for controlling funding, information and nominations.

The concept was originated by European scholars studying the United States, especially James Bryce and Moisey Ostrogorsky, and has been expanded to cover other democracies.[1]Giovanni Sartori devised the most widely used classification method for party systems. He suggested that party systems should be classified by the number of relevant parties and the degree of fragmentation.[2] Party systems can be distinguished by the effective number of parties.[3]
