INA or Indian National Army was the league warriors who were forgotten by the ungrateful Nation.
The Leader of INA was mythical Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose (Mythical because how can one mortal do so many things for pure and selfless love of motherland).
INA was much ahead of its time, it recruited ladies when purdah was the norm in India.
Hell, INA created the first Special Forces of the subcontinent (Bahadurs)
INA was multi-class (Hindus,Sikhs n Muslims served in same unit) BIA was purely class based then.
There was something devine in INA which influenced people to bear the arms even when odd were dead against (once I met a old Sikh soldier of INA who lost two of his brothers fighting for INA)
It was INA that gave me “Kadam kadam badhaey Ja” and “Jai Hind”
It was the trial of INA officers which glavanised the Nation against the Britishers. India as whole took stand for her brave sons during the trial at Red Fort. Even RIAF and RIN mutinied, discontent was rising among the Indian Soldiers. Per me it was the Red Fort trials which were decisive and forced Britishers to leave India.
It was Netaji and his band of warriors which represented true Indian struggle for independence.
