There is absolutely no correlation between viscosity and surface tension.

Surface tension occurs due to difference in forces acting on fluid particles at surface and that below the surface. The particles below the surface are surrounded by like particles and cohesive force exists between them, while particles at surface experiences unlike forces cohesive forces from fluid particles from bottom and adhesive from from above the surface.

Viscosity represents the internal resistance of a fluid to motion.

Surface tension is influenced by the cohesive forces of the molecules and viscosity is related to the shear stress in the solution. It seems like both involves the performance of molecules. However, there is a statement that saying both is not related. . Thank you.
