A democratic government has to be periodically elected by the people in a free and fair manner. Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right to Freedom of Religion, Right against Exploitation, Cultural and Educational Rights, Right to Constitutional Remedies are the fundamental rights of all the citizens of India.

Democratic rights in India:

The government of India has given certain democratic rights to its citizens which are as follows;

• The Indian’s citizens were given the right to vote and elect their leaders.  

• In India, it offers its citizens the right to vote regardless of their caste, color, creed, religion, and gender.  

• It has five democratic philosophies – sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic and republic.
