Discuss the development between 1937-47 which led to creation of pakistan

All was because of Lord Mountbatten. The last viceroy of India. He decided to part India. 16th August 1946, also known as Direct Action Day, was the day when Congress won election with overhelming majority of seats. That day Mohammad Ali Jinnah, asked for a separate nation called pakistan. They led out protests on the roads and later this caused hindu muslim riots. So to finish this, congress and gandhiji decided to part india and Pakistan. So 15th August became the day of partition. But Pakistan's local time was 30 minutes before, so 14th August 11:30pm, became independence day for Pakistan and 15th August 12:00 am became independence day for india.
