Most of the technical inventions and innovations in industrial production had their origins in Great Britain during the 18th century. It helped British industries to move from manual labour to mechanised production, to a certain extent, leading to increase in production. Power obtained from steam or water-driven machines helped to take industrialisation further.
It soon spread to the United States and other European countries which led to the Industrial Revolution.
