There are many ways to prevent corrosion.
Corrosion means nothing but tarnishing of metal.

Formation of oxides on metal is nothing but corrosion

To prevent:-

1)Galvanization
2)Adding zinc coating
3)Storing the metal away from moist places.
4) alloying. (adding alloys.)

1 By painting the iron objects.
2 By greasing and oiling iron articles.
3 By galvanisation that is by depositing a layer of zinc on the surface of iron objects.
