Answer:

Humor in Shakespeare’s time was very vulgar and not really considered very funny by modern standards at all. The scene with Launcelot and Old Gobbo where Launcelot is pretending to be someone else would of been considered humorous as would the whole affair with the rings when they are given away by the husbands to be when they promised their fiancées they would keep them forever as a symbol of their love of one another. The whole Shylock losing everything after wanting his "pound of flesh" might have been seen as ironically humorous.

The Answer is:

"A Pound on Demand," a comedy by Sean O'Casey, features a number of amusing topics.

A drunken guy and his inebriated partner attempt to draw cash out from nearest post office, anxious for another pounds to squander in the bar.

"A Pound on Demand" was the second attempt published at the end of "Windfalls", a collection of poetry and short tales published in 1934.

It was a resource‐based comedy full of tipsy excess, delivering 20 minutes of insane, boundless pleasure; as raucous as Juno as well as the Pay's drunken breakdown. The very same dehiscent caresses light the fuse of fatal comedy in the shorter work.

  • There are several humorous aspects in "Sean O'Casey's" play "A Pound on Demand".
  • The very first among these is the title. It's a slapstick comedy since it contains the term "pound," as well as this show is about the necessity of the pound.
  • It also includes a simplicity factor since the term "demand" includes the term "dem," which is the simplification of a term "demand."
  • Even title for another one of the actors of that play, Ms Neary, contains additional aspect of comedy.
  • We have used the characters "ear" to pronounce the term "near," so that is a component of the term "near," while once the term "ear" is uttered it
