Hey mate..

The Constitution explicitly assigned the president the power to sign or veto legislation, command the armed forces, ask for the written opinion of their Cabinet, convene or adjourn Congress, grant reprieves and pardons, and receive ambassadors.

The Executive powers of the President :-

  1. He/She is the head of the Union Administration.All the executive orders are issued in the name of the President.
  2. All Union Offices are President's subordinates.
  3. The President makes appointment to key posts to run the government's administration.
  4. Prime Minister and concil of Minister are been adviced by President.
  5. The Chief Justice ,Judge of Supreme Court and High Court,The Attorney General of India are been adviced by President whenever they need it.
  6. The Chairman and Members of Planning Commission are under control.of President.
  7. The President controls Union Government over state.
  8. Union Territories and Border Areas is the responibility of President.
