I guess it depends on differential heating of the Earth's surface due to its curvature, Prevailing winds,
Oceanic currents and difference in altitude.

There are primarily three factors that are responsible for the climate variations in asia. These are as follows.


(1) Size - The Asian continent is the biggest in the world so that as per latitude and longitude, it covers the most area.


(2) Proximity to oceans - Many areas that are near to oceans have a moderate climate while interior areas of the continent usually experience extreme climatic conditions.


(3) Vegetation cover - There are many types of vegetation covers in Asia including mixed forest, deserts and grasslands.


They influence the climate of the area considerably.
