Hello Here is your answer..
We can say their are 9 factors of land degradation.
Deforestation.
Forests play an important role in maintaining fertility of soil by shedding their leaves which contain many nutrients. Thus cutting of plant can cause land degradation.
Fertilizers
Excessive use of fertilizers can make soil incompitable and cause land degradation.
Overgrazing
Grazing (grassland) so heavily that the vegetation is damaged and the ground becomes liable to erosion.
Soil Salination
Soil salinity is the salt content in the soil; the process of increasing the salt content is known as salinization. Salts occur naturally within soils and water.
Water logging
Waterlogging refers to the saturation of soil with water. Soil may be regarded as waterlogged when it is nearly saturated with water much of the time such that its air phase is restricted and anaerobic conditions prevail.
Desertification
the process by which fertile land becomes desert, typically as a result of drought, deforestation, or inappropriate agriculture.
"nearly one fifth of the world's land is threatened with desertification"
Soil erosion
Soil erosion is the displacement of the upper layer of soil, one form of soil degradation. This natural process is caused by the dynamic activity of erosive agents, that is, water, ice (glaciers), snow, air (wind), plants, animals, and humans.
Wastelands
an unused area of land that has become barren or overgrown. In this type of land soil degradation take place.
Hope this helps ✌✌
